Rosemary McClary has been active in real estate related fields since 1961 when she was co-owner of the Rowland-McClary School of Real Estate. After closing the school in 1965 Rosemary worked as an escrow officer for six years. She obtained her salesman's license in 1961 and her broker’s license in 1966.
Rowland Realty was founded in 1959 by Rosemary’s mother who worked in the office until March 2001. In addition to real estate sales, Rowland Realty is an accomplished property manager having over 40 years of experience in that field.
Professional Designations Rosemary believes that the key to success, both for herself and her clients, is a constantly updated education. To that end, Rosemary has worked to receive two of the industry’s most prestigious professional designations: GRI. Nationally recognized, this designation indicates that Rosemary is a Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute and CRS, Certified Residential Specialist (a Realtor's PHD).
Rosemary was born in Kansas but came to San Diego as an infant and has lived most of her life in the area. She has seen the city grow and change and knows it like only a long-time resident can.
Rosemary is the mother of two, both of whom grew up in San Diego, and proud grandmother of six including triplets. As her children were growing, Rosemary was very involved in their activities. From Scouts to the Masons, Rosemary volunteered in various youth activities, giving her a unique “insider’s perspective” on what is available to families in the area. Rosemary’s husband was very active in the Masonic Bodies until his death in 1998.
From the beginning of her working career, Rosemary has been involved in real estate, working in all aspects of the profession. She “never intended to become a real estate salesman,” but evolved. Working as a receptionist and escrow officer in her parent’s office, she had to have a license. Her military friends at church told all their friends to call her when arriving in San Diego and suddenly, Rosemary was a full-time real estate professional specializing in medium price range homes and income properties throughout the San Diego area.
In her free time, Rosemary enjoys spending time with her family and attending Masonic functions. She and her late husband of 54 years also like cruising.
Rosemary is a member of the San Diego Association of REALTORS® and has been Director of the Point Loma-Ocean Beach Realty Association where she won the Robert Crooks Achievement Award (outstanding service to the Point Loma Ocean Beach Realty Assn) for 1999. She is also active with the California Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. All of these associations uphold a strict code of ethics and ensure that their members are up to date on the latest marketing techniques and legislation affecting real estate.
Personal service is the hallmark of Rosemary’s career. Completely hands-on throughout the transaction, she is never too busy to ensure that her clients are 100% satisfied. You never have to pay a Transaction Coordinator to do her work. “It’s very important to stay on top of every transaction,” says Rosemary. “I always handle everything myself so that I can be sure that it is done with the utmost care.”
Rosemary is also dedicated to ensuring that her clients understand every nuance of their sale or purchase. She has prepared both a Home Buyer’s Guide and a House Seller’s Guide that explains every step of the transaction and provides copies of the forms used. This is Rosemary’s way of ensuring that her clients are secure in their comprehension of the process.
Finally, Rosemary makes herself available not only throughout the sale or purchase, but afterward as well. She continues to stay in touch to ensure that everything is proceeding as planned and that her clients are happily settled.
